    The day has finally arrived! Up Down Solitaire has been released to the iTunes app store as of September 24th 2009. The game is available for $0.99 for iPhones/iPod touches with iPhone OS 2.1 and later.

    Up Down Solitaire is a brand new version of Solitaire. Originally taught to me by my father Up Down is a game that my family has loved for years. We have loved it so much that I deemed it was time that I shared the game with the rest of the world! I guarantee it will be a Solitaire experience like none you have had before. Up Down Solitaire uses two decks of cards and is unique in that it requires you to build two separate Foundations, one working upwards for each suit, and one working downwards for each suit.

    If a relaxing game of Solitaire just isn't quite enough to keep you busy then be sure to check out the awards page. There are a total of 16 in game awards that can be unlocked. Believe me when I say some of these awards are a real accomplishment! The awards alone can keep you busy for months!

    But what you need more?!? Well you are in luck! Up Down Solitaire also features a fully integrated website that receives your game statistics and stores them under your UpDownSolitaire.com account. When you finish a game of Up Down Solitaire you will be asked if you would like to submit your score to the web. Choose yes, and enter you login info for UpDownSolitaire.com and your score will be sent to the web. Be sure to login and compare your stats against players from all over the world!

    This is in fact my first iPhone application! Over the next few weeks I am sure I will be making plenty blog posts about the experience so stay tuned!
